Konnte mich ziemlich für ihn freuen, hat damals massgeblich die CSP-Anfänge vorangetrieben - und darf jetzt ca. 35 Jahre später, das weltgrößte Blythe mit 'groundbreaken'. Schön, wenn sich der Kreis so schließt... Und dabei 73 Jahre alt & engagiert & visionär wie selten - RESPEKT !!!

Einen besseren Governor-Nachfolger konnten wir / Ca uns gar nicht erträumen!!

vor dem Hintergrund, dass Supervisor John J. Benoit die heutige Vorstellung / Durchsetzung seines Projektes vor dem City Council erst gestern wieder offiziell bestätigt hatte...

... scheint sich meine These "agiere niemals gegen den Willen des US-Präsidenten"  zu bestätigen...  

Mit dieser Initiative Benoit's wurden kurzfristig und überraschenderweise alle Klimaziele der USA bzw. der sechs Sonnenstaaten in Frage gestellt.

Mit der Absage gewinnt man (BLM-Salazar, CA - governor & major, First Solar-SCE-SM und, und,) die Zeit, um hinter verschlossenen Türen Positionen zu überprüfen und Argumente auszutauschen & Fronten aufzubauen.

Schwarzenegger hatte Benoit letztes Jahr eingesetzt, Brown wird ihn lediglich als Werkzeug für seine Ziele benutzen, keinesfalls wird er sich vom Supervisor seinen Lieblings-bone wegnehmen lassen...

wie immer - nur meine Meinung- auch hier wird uns die Zeit zeigen was wirklich Fakt ist.

1)  The 2% policy was not adopted.

2)  The Solar Millennium project received the County easement it needed.

3)  The Solar Millennium project was exempted from any future policy because it is so close to completing the entitlement process; this amendment to the proposed fee was suggested by Supervisor John Benoit.

This is an overview presented by the Southern Africa Solar Thermal and Electricity Association (SASTELA) concerning the potential, developments and future perspectives for both solar thermal and PV energy in Africa, especially in South Africa. The main objective is to develop and interconnect the African nascent grid to the EU electrical grid by 2050.

Following a brief presentation of SASTELA’s 10 objectives, the document provides some context information linked to the CSP (concentrating solar power) potential of Africa and the main activities under development.

After an analysis concerning the policy development and the growth potential, the document provides information about the actual cost of solar thermal and PV energy and the situation in these markets. Through an economic analysis, this document delivers an idea of the price volatility of fossil energy compared to the cost of solar energy until 2050.

Daneben können Solarkraftwerksprojekte in den USA von Steuererleichterungen, in Form von sogenann­ten Investment Tax Credits, profitieren.

In den USA zur Steuer veranlagte Investoren können bis zu 30% ihrer Investitionen in Solarkraftwerke von ihren zu entrichtenden individuellen Steuern abziehen.

Im Oktober 2008, also noch unter der Präsidentschaft von George W. Bush, wurde diese Solarenergieförde­rung vom Repräsentantenhaus um acht Jahre, also bis 2016, verlängert.

Außerdem wurde diese Rege­lung für Energieversorgungsunternehmen geöffnet. Dadurch wurde für die Energieversorger ein zusätz­licher Anreiz geschaffen, direkt in Solarkraftwerke zu investieren.

Für Solar Millennium ist diese Regelung von besonderem Vorteil, da der Verkauf von Projekt­anteilen und der Einstieg strategischer Investoren Bestandteil des Geschäftsmodells ist und die Kraft­werksfinanzierung erleichtert.
