Engineering firm selected to lead development of Finavera Renewables'

British Columbia wind projects

  

Vancouver, Canada, June 28th 2007 - Finavera Renewables Inc. ('Finavera

Renewables') (TSX-V: FVR) has selected Canadian engineering firm Genivar

(TSX: GNV.UN) to lead the engineering development of four wind projects in British Columbia. Genivar will act as the 'owner's engineer' for a nominal

366 megawatts (MW) of wind projects which have been entered into the provincial Environmental Assessment process.

 

Finavera Renewables COO Bertan Atalay said, "The selection of Genivar to help lead our British Columbia portfolio marks a key milestone for our project development in this province. We will now move forward aggressively on all facets of project design and turbine procurement. The appointment of Genivar provides Finavera Renewables with an experienced team in wind power project engineering design to guide the development of 366 MW of wind power projects. Genivar brings a wealth of proven expertise and experience in the design of heavy civil engineering and construction fields to the project team and strongly complements the project development skills of Finavera Renewables. This puts our company on the path to delivering a significant portfolio of operating wind farms in British Columbia."

 

Genivar will assist Finavera Renewables in several key aspects of project development including: design and preparation of engineering drawings, construction management, and specifications for turbine installation and commissioning. The hiring of Genivar represents a significant step towards a potential bid into the British Columbia Hydro power RFP. 

 

Genivar Director of Wind Energy Pierre Lacombe said, "For GENIVAR Income Fund, the association with Finavera Renewables as an owner's engineer for projects in British Columbia represents a great opportunity to provide high quality integrated services for these wind energy projects in western Canada.  Our Vancouver office (former Cochrane Design Group) will lead the project in collaboration with our wind, electrical, transportation and cost evaluation specialists based across Canada. The technical skills and financial strength of both companies will surely contribute to the success of those projects."

 

Finavera Renewables' British Columbia wind projects are part of a pipeline of projects that include the 75MW Ghost Pine project in Alberta. The Ghost Pine project, one of the few wind development projects in Alberta with permission to connect to the provincial electrical grid, is currently undergoing environmental assessment and permitting. Construction is expected to commence in 2008. These projects, and others, are part of an overall renewable energy strategy to provide near term revenue and downside protection while establishing Finavera Renewables as a world leader in the development of wave energy technology and projects.

Einstiegskurse gab es genug,jetzt geht es erst einmal Richtung Allzeithoch.  

kurse von 1€ im juni,hab ich aber nit gesehen...


und die platzierung von mir ist auch nit schlechter als deine solarparc

Tolle Frage ,wie weit die noch gen Norden geht.
Meine Tipp ,zwei Wochen und die schmiet ab.

ja wenn man nach der falschen Marktkapitalisierung von Ariva hier geht
,dann schmiert Sie nicht ab.

Die richtige MK liegt schon bei über 100 Mio kanadische Dollar.
also an die 60 mio euro und mehr .

Das sollte man nicht vergessen !  Also schon richtig viel für ein Startup-Unternehmen in Kanada, wo man nichts von der Firmen-eigenen Infrastruktur
sieht oder kontrollieren kann .

 

Steht doch alles gross und breit unter den Adhocs geschrieben.Seit März wird ja auch ordentlich gekauft ,als long gehen.  

Nur zu ,hier ist die Ramschkiste.Berg auf.Sicher schon sämtliches Kapital versemmelt ,arme Kinder's.  

Sieht wohl so aus ,alsa obs ein pusher-wert war, der nun für längere Zeit
eingeschlafen ist, oder wieso gibts da kein Umsatz mehr ?
Liegt wohl schon an der hohen MK.  

Noch ist nichts im Eimer.Kein eindeutige Grund zu erkennen das Handtuch zu schmeissen.Kursrücksetzer gab es schon desöfteren.
 

hoffe trotzdem ,dass sich die leute nicht an der hier angezeigten Marktkapitalisierung richten ,denn diese ist falsch .

Kanadische MK = über 80-90 mio CAD
= ca. über 55-60 mio euro .

Also hohe MK ,wo ist der Umsatz dazu ?  Kommt mir nicht mit "an der Börse
wird nur die Zukunft gehandelt "  .

Der Börsen-Umsatz ist auch die letzte Zeit total eingeschlafen ,trotz
einer öffentlichen News.  Bissl Windkraft projektieren und MEtallfässer
im Meer testen rechtfertigt diese MK nicht.  Meine Meinung , Jeder hat
eh seine Eigene .

Finavera Renewables Signs an Exclusive MOU to Acquire a 20 Megawatt Wind Farm in Germany

VANCOUVER, Canada--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Finavera Renewables Inc. (Finavera
Renewables or the Company)
(TSX VENTURE:FVR) has signed an exclusive Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) to acquire a 20 megawatt wind farm in Germany (the Project),
subject to completion of a final purchase and sale agreement and due
diligence. The Project is currently under construction and is expected
to reach commercial operation in December 2007.


The Company has retained the legal services of Watson Farley Williams
Hamburg office in order to carry out detailed due diligence. Following
this work, the Company expects to be in a position to proceed with the
transaction and release the final details.


Finavera Renewables CEO Jason Bak said, This
opportunity is an important milestone in the development of our Company
as we grow from a project developer to an owner-operator and asset
manager. This Project is already under construction and is anticipated
to generate clean, green electricity by the end of this year. Detailed
due diligence thus far has made us aware of several factors that make
this project very attractive: it has a two tranche debt financing
package offered by a major German lender, there is a guaranteed power
sales agreement until 2027, and it provides the Company with the
opportunity for near-term revenue.


Key project highlights include:



A Feed-in Tariff power sales agreement providing long term predictable
cash flow as the German Erneuerbare-Energien-Gesetz (EEG)
guarantees a sales price of 0.0819 cents
per kWh fed into the grid until 2027.


The Project has an estimated electricity yield of 38,550,000 kWh at
P50 levels.


The wind farm is offered as a turn-key project with an envisaged
commercial operation date of December 2007.


Senior debt financing is offered by a major German lender.


The Project will utilize ten proven technology, 2MW turbines, under
warranty by the manufacturer and subject to a 12 year maintenance
agreement with the same German turbine manufacturer.




The Project Vendor is a leading developer in the German wind energy
sector and is responsible for the installation and operation of more
than 350MW of wind projects.



Mr. Bak concluded, This acquisition strategy
represents the next stage in the corporate development of our Company.
Combined with our significant portfolio of projects under development,
this proposed wind farm acquisition will add to our value by
diversifying our geographic and regulatory risk, providing downside
protection through near-term revenue, and will advance the Company in
becoming an operator of renewable power assets. Generated profits can
then be reinvested in achieving key wind project milestones and the
development of our AquaBuOY wave energy technology. This strategy will
drive our Company along the path to becoming a major force in the
renewable energy industry.


While Finavera Renewables has already undertaken substantial due
diligence on this Project, completion of a purchase and sale agreement
is not a certainty and is subject to further negotiations and analysis.

Anscheinend geht nix mit der neuen Technik voran und es wird
Windkraft projektiert.

Mich stört die weiterhin noch zu hohe MK von knapp 100 000 000 Kanadische Dollar.
Solang wenig bis kein Umsatz gemacht wird ist das einfach nicht nacchvollziehbar.

Hier der Link zur Kanadische Börse wo man die MK ersehen kann ,denn bei Ariva stimmt
die MK nicht .

Ist ja Interessenten-täuschung .

die richtige MK von Finavera ist in euro an die 60 mio euro !

Wenn ich das nicht auf der kanadischen Börsenseite nachgeschaut
hätte wär ich verlockend eingestiegen . Leider ist die günstige
Ariva.de-Bewertung nur ein bruchteil dessen ,was der wert wirklich
wiegt.  Aufpassen !
